    อาของผมชื่อติ๋มเธอยังโสด อายุก็เกือบ 40 แล้วแต่ยังสวยเฉียบทันสมัยตอนนี้เธอมีอาชีพเป็นช่างเสริมสวย

   อากับแม่ของผมเป็นเพื่อนสนิทกัน  อาของผมแข็งแรงส่วนแม่เข้าโรงพยาบาลบ่อย แม่เป็นคนป่วยประจำโรงพยาบาลรัฐแห่งหนึ่งย่านมีบุรี ต้องเรียกว่าเป็นคนไข้ประจำถึงจะเหมาะ ปีหนึ่งๆ เดียวเป็นไข้ เดี๋ยวไมเกรน โรคกระเพาะ ใส้ติ่งอักเสบ แม่ของผมผ่านมาแล้วทั้งนั้น นี่เท่าที่ผมจำได้ แล้วผู้เฝ้าแม่มีทั้งอาติ๋ม พ่อและผมจู่ๆ แม่ของผมเป็นลมเกร็ง ผมเข้าไปเห็นพอดีจึงเรียกพ่อ รวมทั้งอาติ๋มด้วย อาติ๋มรีบปิดร้านขับรถพาแม่ไปส่งที่โรงพยาบาล

  แม่ีเป็นโรคเบาหวานไม่มีใครรู้ว่าแม่จะป่วย เราต้องนอนค้างคืนรอดูอาการ  อาติ๋มเป็นคนเฝ้าคนแรก ตอนเกิดเรื่องสยอง เป็นเวลาหัวค่ำ อาติ๋มเล่าให้ฟัง มีคนขึ้นลิฟต์มาพร้อมกันและทยอยออกทีละคนสองคนจนเหลืออาติ๋มกับพยาบาล พยาบาลคนนั้นยืนอยู่ด้านหลัง อาติ๋มเหลือบมองชุดขาวอดสงสัยไม่ได้ ชุดของพยาบาลเป็นสีขาวตุ่นในช่วงเวลาคิดลิฟต์หยุดดื้อๆ ไฟติดๆ ดับๆ แล้วดับไปจริงๆ อาติ๋มกลัวจะติดอยู่นาน จึงตรงไปกดปุ่ม
   เดี๋ยวก็ใช้ได้ค่ะ เสียงพยาบาลคนนั้นบอก
อาติ๋มสันนิษฐานว่า เธอพูดตรงเดิมที่เห็นก่อนไฟดับ อาติ๋มตอบ ฉันเป็นคนกลัวความมืดค่ะ ลิฟต์ค้างอย่างนี้บ่อยไหมค่ะ

อาติ๋มไม่กล้าหันไป เริ่มผิดปกติได้กลิ่นตุๆ เหมือนกลิ่นเน่าเหม็นของซากศพ
อาติ๋มกลัวทั้งความมืด กลัวพยาบาลคนนั้นเสียงที่พูดออกมายานคางแล้วชุดพยาบาลทั่วไปต้องขาวจัดไม่ใช่ขาวอย่างขุ่นๆ อาติ๋มยุติความคิดคว้ามือถือกดให้มีแสงสว่าง แล้วลิฟต์ก็ติดปุ๊บบั๊บ อาติ๋มดีใจ ยิ้มออกมาแล้วหันไปณ.จุดที่ควรมีพยาบาล ไม่มีเธอคนนั้น

ครืด ครืด ครืด  ลิฟต์เลื่อนเปิดออก มีหมอและพยาบบาลยืนอยู่ข้างนอกเห็นอาติ๋มยืนค้าง หมอกับพยาบาลชุดนั้นช่วยกันพาอาติ๋มออกจาลิฟต์ พยาบาลหนึ่งในนั้นพูดเบาๆ แต่อาติ๋มก็ได้ยิน
สงสัยโดนหลอกอีกคน
มีเสียงจุ๊ๆๆ ราวกับปรามจากหมอ หมอตรวจเช็กทำเหมือนปกติอาติ๋มอดรนทนไม่ไหว
มีพยาบาลตายที่ลิฟต์นั้นไช่ไหม
ท้ั้งหมดมองหน้ากันอย่างไม่ต้องบอก ทุกๆ คนรู้กันทั่วหน้า
รู้กันอย่างนี้แล้วปิดเงียบ ลิฟต์นี้ยังจะเปิดให้ใช้อีก โอ้ยๆโรงพยาบาลอะไรอย่างนี้  ไม่เอาแล้ว ฉันจะไม่ยอมขึ้นลิฟต์ตัวนี้อีกแล้ว

  ซึ่งอาติ๋มก็ไม่ขึ้นลิฟต์จริงๆ และอยู่ดูแลแม่จนใกล้วันออกจากโรงพยาบาล แล้วจึงสอบถามเกี่ยวกับเรื่องลิฟต์ได้ความว่าพยาบาลคนนี้ตายไปหลายปีแล้ว ตายด้วยโรคหัวใจวาย ทุกวันนี้ลิฟต์ตัวนี้ยังใช้งานอยู่น่ะ มีใครเจอพยาลาลคนนี้อีกไหม เอ่ย

   พี่น้ำหนึ่เป็นเพื่อนรักของพี่สาวดิฉัน  พี่สาวของดิฉันชื่อพลอย พี่น้ำหนึ่งไม่ค่อยสบายเข้าโรงพยาบ่าลในช่วงปิดเทอมใหญ่ นักเรียนในห้องเรียนเดียวกันกับพี่น้ำหนึ่งก็ปิดเทอมบ้างก็พากลับบ้าน หรือไปเที่ยวต่างจังหวัด จึงไม่ค่อยมีใครในห้องเาียนทราบข่าวว่าพี่น้ำหนึ่งป่วยหนักจนถึงกับเข้าโรงพยาบาล พี่น้ำหนึ่งเขาไม่สบาย เข้าออกโรงพยาบาลอยู่พักหนึ่งแต่อาการป่วยที่เป็นๆ หายๆ ของพี่น้ำหนึ่ง สร้างความแปลกประหลาดใจเป็นอย่างยิ่ง


      พลอยก็เคยเห็นกับตามาแล้วค่ะ ตอนนั้นบอกตรงๆ ว่าไม่เชื่อที่พี่เพชรเล่าให้ฟังอาศัยว่าพี่เพชรเป็นเพื่อนรักของพี่น้ำหนึ่ง ไปเฝ้าไข้พี่น้ำหนึ่งอยู่บ่อยๆ พี่เพชรเ่าอาการป่วยของพี่น้ำหนึ่ง พลอยจะไม่ค่อยเชื่อ ก็เลยเกิดรายการท้าพิสูจน์พี่เพชรบอกว่าอีกวันเดียวพี่น้ำหนึ่งก็ได้ออกจากโรงพยาบาล  พี่เพชรหันมาท้ากับพลอยว่า พลอยก็ไปกับพี่ก็ได้น่ะ จะได้เห็นกับตา  น้ำหนึ่งไปไม่ถึงบ้านหรอก  พี่น้ำหนึ่งก็จะเป็นโรคเดิมอาการจะกำเริบขึ้นาอีก อย่างนี้พลอยว่าเป็นโรคประหลาดน่ะค่ะ  พลอยก็ไปแล้วก็จริงอย่งที่พี่เพชรหันมาท้ากับพลอยว่า พลอยก็ไปกับพี่ก็ได้น่ะ จะได้เห็นกับตา น้ำหนึ่งไปไม่ถึงบ้านหรอก  พี่น้ำหนึ่งก็จะเป็นโรคเดิมอาการจะกำเริบขึ้นมาอีก  อย่างนี้พลอยว่าเป็นโรคประหลาดน่ะค่ะ พลอยก็ไปแล้วก็จริงอย่างที่พี่เพชรเล่า ไม่เชื่อก็ต้องเชื่อ

    พ่อแม่ของพี่น้ำหนึ่งนั่งรถตอนหน้า พี่เพชรคุยกับพี่น้ำหนึ่งซึ่งนอนอยู่ี่กระบะหลังมีหลังคาครอบและพลอยก็นั่งอยู่ด้วย

   ไม่ทันถึงบ้านดีเสียด้วยซ้ำ พี่น้ำหนึ่งหลับไปแล้วเรียกเท่าไหร่ก็ไม่ตื่นทุกคนคงชินก็เลยไม่ตื่นเต้นพาพี่น้ำหนึ่งกลับโรงพยาบาล

    ช่วงหลังพี่น้ำหนึ่งก็ดีขึ้นได้ยินมาว่า แม่ของพี่น้ำหนึ่งไปหาหมอดู ก็ไม่น่าเชื่อน่ะค่ะ เพราะหมอดูทักว่าพี่น้ำหนึ่งไปรับของไม่ดีมา ให้ไปถามพี่น้ำหนึ่งเอง

   พี่น้ำหนึ่งไม่รู้ว่าเคยไปรับของใคร

   ของนั้นเป็นของไม่ดีและเป็นของที่จะคร่าชีวิตของพี่น้ำหนึ่ง

  แล้วไม่นานนักพี่น้ำหนึ่งฝันว่า มีผู้ชาย ผู้หญิง  เป็นคณะใหญ่มารุมล้อมที่เตียงของโรงพยาบาล  บอกว่าจะมารับพี่น้ำหนึุ่ง

  พี่น้ำหนึ่งตอบว่า

  "อยากไปด้วยค่ะ แต่ขอรอพี่แต๋มมาก่อนน่ะ  แล้วจะไปด้วย มารอรับก็แล้วกัน อย่าลืมน่ะ"

  พี่แต๋มเป็นคนรักของพี่น้ำหนึ่ง  พี่แต๋มมาก่อนน่ะ แล้วจะไปด้วย มารอรับก็แล้วกันอย่าลืมน่ะ"

  พี่แต๋มเป็นคนรักของพี่น้ำหนึ่ง พี่แต๋มกลับไปต่างจังหวัด เพราะว่าเป็นจังหวัดบ้านเกิด เปิดเทอมแล้วโน่นแหละ ถึงจะกลับมาเรียนหนังสือ ที่บ้านของพี่แต๋มเปิดโรงทำน้ำแข็งงานค่อนข้าง่ยุ่ง

  ก่อนหน้าที่พี่น้ำหนึ่งจะเสียชีวิตไปจริงๆ นั้น

  พี่แต๋มคนรักของพี่น้ำหนึ่ง ฝันเป็นลางบอกเหตุว่า เห็นพี่น้ำหนึ่งยืนอยู่ไกลๆ ในฝันนั้นพี่น้ำหนึ่ง ฝันเป็นลางบอกเหตุว่า เห็นพี่น้ำหนึ่งยืนอยู่ไกลๆ  ในฝันนั้นพี่น้ำหนึ่งเรียกชื่อพี่แต๋ม และร้องให้สะอึกสะอื้นอย่างคนจะขาดใจ พี่น้ำหนึ่งร้องไห้อยู่พักใหญ่หันหลุงกลับเดินหายไปในความมืด พี่แต๋มตื่นเช้ารีบเดินทางมากรุงเทพ

  พลอยลืมเล่าไปค่ะ ขอเล่าย้อนว่าพี่เพชร พี่สาวของพลอยกลับมาจากโรงพยาบาลก็เล่าให้พวกเราทุกคนฟังว่า

   คืนก่อนที่พี่น้ำหนึ่งจะเสียชีวิตแม่ของพี่น้ำหนึ่งมีธุระ ฝากให้พี่เพขรอยู่เฝ้าพี่น้ำหนึ่ง สองทุ่มก็จะรีบกลับมา พี่เพชรรอจนสามทุ่มพ่อแม่ของพี่น้ำหนึ่งถึงมา  พี่เพชรร่ำลาพัักหนึ่ง พี่น้ำหนึ่งก็ดึงพี่เพชรกระซิบเบาๆ ว่า

  "เค้าไป  ตัวเองอย่าเศร้านานนะ"

  พี่เพชรบ่นกับทุกคน ทำไมพี่น้ำหนึ่งต้องพูดเป็นลางอย่างนี้ด้วย เช้าวันถัดมาพี่เพชรรีบไปโรงพยาบาล พี่เพชรรู้สึกว่าอยากไปเจอพี่น้ำหนึ่งมาก

  ในห้องของโรงพยาบาล พี่เพชรก็ถามอย่างสงสัยว่า เมื่อคืนพี่น้ำหนึ่งพูดอย่างนั้นทำไมกัน  พี่น้ำหนึ่งร้องให้ พ่อแม่ของพี่น้ำหนึ่งอยู่ด้วยก็ตกใจ

  แล้วพี่น้ำหนึ่งเล่าว่ามีคนมาชวนไปเที่ยว มากันเป็นกลุ่มใหญ่เลยมารห้อมล้อมเตียงกันแน่นขนัด  เมื่อก่อนก็มีมาแต่ไม่บ่อย หน้าตาของคนที่มาก็เพิ่มจำนวนขึ้น คนหน้าเก่าๆ ก็ยังเห็นเหมือนเดิม  แต่พี่น้ำหนึ่งขอเจอพี่แต๋มแล้วจะไปเที่ยวด้วย

  พี่เพชรเล่าว่า  วันนั้นอากาศครึ้มฟ้าครึ้มฝน พีอของพี่น้ำหนึ่งเชิญพระแต่พระที่มีชีวิตไม่ว่างสักรูป  พีอของพี่น้ำหนึ่งเอาพระรูปหล่อขนาดกว้าง 5 นิ้ววางไว้บนหัวเตียง ญาติๆ ของพี่น้ำหนึ่งมากันมากเป็นพิเศษ ทั้งที่เป็นวันธรรมดา  เป็นเวลาสายๆ ของวันนั้น ญาติๆ ก็มากันครบแล้ว

  พี่น้ำหนึ่งเป็นคนกินง่าย  นับแต่ป่วยมาก็กินได้น้อยลงและไม่ค่อยอยากจะกิน พ่อของพี่น้ำหนึ่งดีใจมากที่เห็นพี่น้ำหนึ่งกินอย่างเอร็ดอร่อย แล้วพี่น้ำหนึ่งก็บอกว่าอยากกินไก่ย่างห้าดาว พ่อแอบออกไปซื้อมาให้พี่น้ำหนึ่งทาน พี่น้ำหนึ่งทานน่าอร่อย และหมดด้วยค่ะ

  นั่งดูละครกันสักพักใหญ่ พี่น้ำหนึ่งพูดลอยๆ ขึ้นมาว่่า

  "แต๋มมาแล้ว  แต๋มมาแล้ว เพชรไปเปิดประตูสิ"

     เรื่องที่ผมจะเล่าให้ฟังต่อไปนี้ เป็นเรื่องที่ไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นกับตัวผมเองหรอกครับแต่ทว่ามันทำให้ผมฉุกคิดถึงความจริงบางอย่างว่าเรื่องแบบนี้มีด้วยหรือ  เพราะลึกๆแล้วผมก็ยังเชื่ออยู่ดีว่าผีไม่มีจริงในโลกน้ สิ่งที่เราคิดและเรารู้สึกนั้นเอง

    เรื่องนี้เป็นเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้นกับเพื่อนผมคนหนึ่ง ซึ่งเป็นเพื่อนร่วมชั้นสมัยเรียนมหาวิทยาลัย เพื่อนคนนี้ชื่อว่า เอกในตอนที่เกิดเรื่องนั้นเป็นช่วงที่เขาต้องไปดูสถานที่เพื่อทำค่ายอาสาพัฒนาที่ต่างจังหวัด ได้เข้าพักที่โรงแรมแห่งหนึ่ง ห้องหนึ่งก็นอนกัน 6 คน ระหว่างที่ทุกคนนอนหลับกันไปหมดแล้วเหลือแ่่ต่เอกคนเดียว ในขณะที่เขากำลังจะปิดไฟเข้านอนนั้นเอง เอกก็ได้ยินเสียงคล้ายเสียงน้ำหยดลงมาดังติ้งๆ
