เรื่องนี้มีตำนาน
ในคืนวันหนึ่งที่บ้านของผมซึ่งประกอบไปด้วย พี่ชาย พี่สาว และน้องชายอีก 2 คนไม่มีอะไรจะทำเพราะพ่อแม่ไม่อยู่บ้านไปทำงานต่างจังหวัด กว่าจะกลับก็คงอาทิตย์หน้า ความจริงถ้าพ่อกับแม่ป่านนี้เราคงต้องเข้านอนแล้ว แต่นี่แม่ไม่อยู่เราก็เลยนั่งเล่น นั่งดูทีวีกันตามสบาย
อยู่ดีๆ พี่ชายก็เลยตัดสินใจว่าจะให้ทุกคนเล่าเรื่องผีที่ตัวเองเคยเจอหรือเคยได้ยิน ถ้าเรื่องของใครน่ากลัวสุดก็จะสั่งพิซซ่ามาเลี้ยงผมเองน่าจะอ่อนหัดในเรื่องนี้ที่สุดในบ้านก็ไม่รู้ว่าจะเล่าเร่องอะไรดี คิดมาได้ว่าครั้งหนึ่งพ่อเคยเล่าเรื่องชวนขนหัวลุกซึ่งเกิดขึ้นสมัยที่พ่อเรียนอยู่ต่างจังหวัด
เรื่องของเรื่องก็คือพ่อ เป็นศิษย์เก่าที่โรงเรียนมัธยมแห่งหนึ่งตอนที่คุณพ่อเรียนอยู่ชั้น ม.5 นั่นเองที่โรงเรียนก็ได้มีการด่อสร้างตึกใหม่ เพื่อใช้เป็นหอประชุม ในระหว่างที่กำลังก่อสร้างอยู่นั้นเอง บันใชไดตรงกลางของตึกใหม่ที่เพิ่งจะสร้างนี้ก็มีอุบัติเหตุเกิดขึ้นทำให้คนงานคนหนึ่งตาย หลังจากที่ตึกแห่งนี้สร้างเสร็จ ก็มีเสียงร่ำลือในโรงเรียนกันอย่างหนาหูว่า พอใกล้ๆ เที่ยงคืนจะมีวิญญาณของคนงานที่ยังวนเวียนอยู่ปรากฏขึ้น
ด้วยความคึกคะนองตามประสาวัยรุ่นของพ่อในตอนนั้น พ่อจึงชักชวนเพื่อนๆ ให้ไปพิสูจน์ความจริงกันในคืนวันหยุด
คืนนั้นพ่อกับเพื่อนๆ เข้าไปที่โรงเรียนและไปที่ตึกนั้นทันที ที่หน้าบันใดตรงกลางของตึก มีเงาสีขาวปรากฏขึ้นมาอย่างเงยบเชียบ หลงจากนั้นเงาสีขาวนั้นก็ค่อยๆ เริ่มเคลื่อนต้วขึ้นไปบนบันได้อย่างช้าๆ
พ่อบอกว่าสิ่งที่เห็นในตอนนั้นทำเอาพ่อและเพื่อนๆแทบจะไมเชื่อสายตาตัวเอง บรรยากาศรอบๆ ตัวตอนนั้นก็ดูแปลกๆ อย่างไรชอบกลและท้นใดนั้นเอง บนไดก็ค่อยๆ จางหายไปทีละขั้นๆ
พอเงาสีขาวเลื่อนขึ้นไปพ้นบันใดขั้นสุดท้าย เงาสีขาวนั้นก็หายไปและในตอนนั้นเอง บันไดตรงกลางทั้งหมดนั้นก็พลันหายไปด้วย
ทีนี้เล่นเอาทุกคนพูดไม่ออกวิ่งแตกกระเจิง รีบปีนรั้วออกมาจากโรงเรียนให้เร็วที่สุด พ่อบอกว่าพ่อน่ะนอนเป็นไข้ทั้งคืน ส่วนเพื่อนๆก็มีอาการไม่ต่างกัน
วันรุ่งขึ้นเมื่อพ่อกับเพื่อนๆ ไปที่โรงเรียน ตัดสินใจกลับไปดูที่ตึกนั้นอีกครั้ง แต่ปรากฏว่าบันไดทั้งหมดกลับอยู่ที่เดิม ไม่ได้หายไปไหน เหมือนกับว่าไม่มีอะไรเกิดขึ้นเลยสักนิดเดียว
พ่อกับเพื่อนๆ ก็ได้แต่แปลกใจ แต่ที่แน่ๆ ก็คือไม่คอดจะลองของอีกจนเรียนจบจกโรงเรียน เรื่องที่เกิดขึ้นก็กลายเป็นตำนานสยองขัวญของโรงเรียนจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น
เมื่อผมเล่าจบปรกกฏว่าพี่ๆ น้องๆ ของผมก็หลับกันหมดแล้ว นี่อาจจะเป็นเรื่องผีที่ช่วนนอนที่สุดเลยก็ว่าได้น่ะคครับ
ก็บอกแล้วว่าผมน่ะเล่าไม่เก่งหรอก
