เสียงตอบรับพิศวง

ข้อความแนวนอน           ผมเกือบหลวมตัวเข้าไปพักอาศัยอยู่ในอพาร์ตเเมนต์แห่งหนึ่งย่านบางกะปิ ถ้าเพื่อนคนหนึ่งซึ่งเคยพักอาศัยที่นี่มาก่อนไม่เล่าเรื่องราวอันน่าขนพองสยองเกล้าให้ฟังเกี่ยวกับสถานที่แห่งนี้

         โดยตอนเกิดเหตุเพื่อนบอกว่า ใันได้มาพักอาศัยอยู่ในอพาร์ตเมนต์แห่งนี้กับคู่หมั้น ความจริงทั้งคู่ไม่ได้มีกันแค่ 2 คน เท่านั้น แต่คู่หูของเพื่อนผมยังมีแฟนอีกคนที่คอยเที่ยวไปเที่ยวมาระหว่างห้องตนเองและอพาร์ตเมนต์ดังกล่าว

         นับว่าเป็นเรื่องธรรมดาถ้าเพื่อนของเรามีแฟน แล้วในยามที่เราจะเข้าห้องพักเราจำเป็นต้องโทรศัพท์ไปบอกผู้ที่อยู่ในห้องก่อน เพื่อให้เขาได้เตรียมตัวและจัดแจงตัวเองให้เข้าที่เข้าทาง

        เพื่อนผมก็เช่นกัน ทุกครั้งที่มันมาถึงห้องโอเปอร์เรเตอร์ซึ่งอยู่ชั้นล่างของอพาร์ตเมนต์มันจะรีบต่อโทรศัพท์ขึ้นไปข้างบนทันที ถ้าครั้งใดที่คู่หูของมันอยู่กับแฟน เพื่อนผมก็จะออกไปเตร็ดเตร่ข้างนอกพักใหญ่แล้วจึงกลับมาแต่ถ้าเพื่อนอยู่คนเดียวมันก็รีบขึ้นห้องไปอย่างไม่รอช้า

       ตอนเกิดเรื่องสยองก็เช่นกัน เป็นเวลาเกือบเที่ยงคืนเข้าไปแล้วเมื่อเพื่อนผมกลับมาถึงอพาร์ตเมนต์และได้ตรงไปยังห้องโอเปอร์เรเตอร์มันก็รีบปฏิบัติกิจเหมือนทุกครั้งที่ผ่านมา แต่ในขณะที่มันปล่อยให้โทรศัพท์ส่งสัญญาณเรียกผู้มารับสาย เพื่อนผมก็ได้ยินเสียงคล้ายมีคนรับสาย ด้วยความที่ไม่อยากเสียเวลา ทำให้มันพูดกรอกลงไปในโทรศัพท์ว่า

       เป็นยังไงบ้าง อยู่บนห้องหรือยัง

       แต่แทนที่ผู้รับสายจะพูดอะไรตอบกลับมา ทุกอย่างกลับเงียบอย่างน่าประหลาด เหตุการณ์ที่กำัลังเป็นไปทำให้เพื่อนผมรู้สึกงงเป็นอย่างยิ่ง แต่มันก็ยังอุส่าห์ตั้งคำถามเดิมขึ้นซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า แต่ทุกครั้งที่มันยิงคำถามผู้อยู่ปลายสายก็เงียบเช่นเดิมเหมือนตั้งใจจะแกล้งยังไงยังงั้น

      เฮ้ย เป็นไงบ้าง อยู่กับใคร ขึ้นห้องได้หรือยัง ง่วงแล้ววุ้ย

     เมื่อเพื่อนผมเดินมาถึงห้องนั้นก็ต้องพบกับความประหลาดใจเป็นรอบสองเมื่อพบว่าหน้าหน้องประตูโดนล็อกไว้ด้วยกุญแจ

    เฮ้ย ทำไมต้องล็อกกุญแจหน้าห้องด้่วย ก็ในเมื่อในห้องก็มีคนอยู่นี่นา หรือว่ามันจะอำเราเล่น

    บ้าแล้ว กูอยู่ที่ห้องซะเมื่อไหร่ล่ะ

รูปภาพ     เพียงแค่ได้ยินเพื่อนผมกล่าวเช่นนี้ เพื่อนซี้ของมันถึงกับทำหน้างงๆ  ด้วยความสงสัยก่อนจะชี้แจงกลับไปว่า มันออกไปดูหนังกับแฟนตั้งแต่ 4 โมงเย็นและยังไม่ได้กลับเข้ามาห้องพักเลย จะหาว่าอยู่ในห้องแล้วไม่ยอมรับโทรศัพท์ได้อย่างไร

   ในช่วงเวลาที่ทั้งเพื่อนผม  เพื่อนซี้ของมันและแฟนสาวยังหาข้อยุติไม่ได้ในเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้น พลันทั้งสามคนก็ได้ยินเสียงเหมือนในห้องมีใครบางคนเดินลากเท้าดัง

   ครืด ครืด ครืด
